SINGAPORE: Doctors have encountered complications during the most critical stage of a highly risky operation to separate the conjoined heads of Iranian twins Laleh and Ladan Bijani, hospital authorities said late yesterday.
Raffles Hospital spokesman Dr Prem Kumar told reporters that surgeons had discovered the sisters' brains were more closely linked than previously thought, meaning there would be lengthy delays in the operation.
