JAKARTA: Indonesia's leading environmental watchdog, Walhi, plans to take 20 companies to court over forest and ground fires that have begun to send choking smoke haze over the province of Riau, a report said yesterday.
“We will file suits against 20 companies in Riau. The indictments are being prepared and we will file the suits next week,” said Walhi director Longena Ginting.
