More Japanese women moonlight as sex workers

TOKYO: Young Japanese women love European brand names like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. But how can they afford these luxury items with salaries suffering from the prolonged recession? What can they do to supplement their income? 

“Believe it or not, more women are secretly working in the sex industry at night while keeping their day jobs,” said Takashi Kadokura, an economist at Dai-Ichi Life Research Institute, an author of several books on Japan's underground economy.
