‘School-in-a-box’ packages to help stranded students in Aceh

BANDA ACEH: Indonesia sent aid packages yesterdayto thousands of students in Aceh province who had their schools burned down or destroyed during the government's current military offensive against separatist rebels, a minister said. 

A total of 11,500 packages containing books, schoolbags, stationery and uniforms had been sent to Aceh on Friday as the government's first phase of aid for students there, Education Minister Malik Fajar said.
