Thailand (AP) - Prices of Thai chicken exports to Japan and Europe have surged because of shortages caused by outbreaks of bird flu in leading poultry-producing countries, a newspaper reported Friday.
Thailand has benefited immensely from shortages caused by the highly contagious disease in China, the Netherlands and Belgium, the Bangkok Post quoted Adirek Sripratak, chief executive of Charoen Pokphand Foods, as saying.
