BEIJING: Forestry officials in southern China seized game ranging from cranes to snakes in raids on wildlife markets under new restrictions meant to stop the spread of SARS, officials and state media said yesterday.
In Beijing, authorities closed 115 dormitories and restaurants built in old air raid tunnels or basements regarded as health threats because they lacked proper ventilation, said a newspaper.
