KATHMANDU: A teenage Sherpa girl may have broken the record for the youngest successful climber of Mount Everest, a Nepal Mountaineering Association official said yesterday.
Ming Kipa Sherpa, who is around 15 years old, reached the world's highest summit on Thursday along with her 30-year-old sister, Lhakpa Sherpa, and her 24-year-old brother, Mingma Gyalu Sherpa, as part of a Romanian expedition, said the official.
