BANGKOK: Thai police shot and killed two suspected gun dealers yesterday, the first casualties in a war on mafia-style mobsters ordered by the prime minister.
The suspects fired on policemen while delivering weapons during a decoy operation here, police Colonel Vichai Sangprapai told reporters. The officers fired back in self-defence, Vichai said, adding that no police were killed or injured in the incident.
