BEIJING: Chinese President Hu Jintao will step onto the world stage when he meets President George W. Bush and his Russian and French counterparts over the next two weeks on his first trip abroad since taking office in March.
Hu would meet Bush either on the sidelines of an international conference in the French resort of Evian on June 1 or in St Petersburg, where they would be among dozens of leaders attending the Russian city's May 30-31 300th anniversary celebrations.
