HONG KONG: The World Health Organisation (WHO) said yesterday it would not yet remove Singapore from its list of SARS-affected countries as the city-state had hoped, while Taiwan reported a record number of infections for the second straight day.
In China, courts began to announce prison sentences for rioters opposed to local quarantine facilities to prevent further spread of SARS, while Hong Kong received some positive news with only three new infections.
