DENPASAR: Indonesian police prepared yesterday a massive security operation involving 3,000 officers and marksmen on the eve of the first trial of a Bali bombing suspect.
In front of the trial venue, a community hall, a truck unloaded barbed-wire barricades to block a stretch of road. A policeman with a hand-held metal detector checked anyone entering.
