TAIPEI: The World Health Organisation met with Taiwan's health authorities for the first time in 30 years, underlining the seriousness of the SARS outbreak which claimed two more lives on the island yesterday.
Amid mounting evidence of loopholes in Taiwan's efforts to contain the spread of SARS, doctors were worried the flu-like virus may have spread into the community and called on WHO for guidance.
