BEIJING: Beijing yesterday brushed aside a World Health Organisation finding that the deadly SARS outbreak is much worse in China than officials have acknowledged and said it would stick to its official figures.
WHO said on Wednesday the capital, Beijing, may have five times the official number of cases after a WHO team visited hospitals run by the military “which seems to have its own system of reporting”, said team member Wolfgang Preiser.
