SINGAPORE: Singapore announced yesterday a S$230mil (RM492.12mil) aid package to help businesses hit by the SARS outbreak, and cut its 2003 economic growth target to 0.5%-2.%.
The Singapore Government said the original growth forecast of 2.0%-5.0% for the year was no longer realistic due to the fallout from the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus.
