JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ticked off his military intelligence chief at a Cabinet meeting for praising measures taken by the moderate new Palestinian premier, the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot said yesterday.
The newspaper said General Aharon Zeevi told ministers on Sunday that the first steps taken by Prime Minister Mahmud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, since his appointment on March 19 “showed an authentic and positive desire for change.”
