BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) - Thailand threw cautious support behind U.S. action against Iraq on Thursday even though it had earlier hoped for a peaceful diplomatic end to the crisis.
"Since the United States has made the decision to go this way (to war), we as their longtime ally ... can only urge them to be cautious and minimize civilian casualties, targeting only military installations,'' Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said.
