HONG KONG: The luxury car purchase saga of Financial Secretary Antony Leung took another twist when it was revealed that he had made a larger tax savings than reported because he was given a hefty discount by the car dealer.
It was reported here that Leung had actually made a tax savings of HK$190,000 (RM93,480) on the Lexus LS430 he bought six weeks before announcing vehicle tax increases in his budget almost 300% more than the HK$50,000 (RM24,600) savings he acknowledged on Sunday.
