BEIJING police and Customs officials have managed to crack down on the rampant theft and smuggling of relics in China, according to sources with the Beijing Public Security Bureau.
Relics-related crime used to mainly focus on theft, the speculative buying and selling of relics and the pilfering of ancient tombs. But such forms of relics crime have been on the decrease in the past few years.
