SEOUL: South Korea's Parliament endorsed President Roh Moo-hyun's first prime minister, Goh Kun, late yesterday after a day-long wrangle which forced the new leader to spend his first full day in office without a Cabinet.
The endorsement of the former Seoul mayor as prime minister will allow Roh, who was sworn in as president on Tuesday, to forge ahead with installing a Cabinet.
