TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) - Thousands of cast iron manhole sewer covers have mysteriously disappeared from Taiwan's streets in the past year, and a Taiwanese newspaper reported on Monday that their final destination appears to have been China.
A Taiwanese tourist recently spotted some of the covers in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, said the United Daily News, one of the island's biggest newspapers.
