NEW DELHI: The United States has offered to give India the US$2.5bil (RM9.5bil) owed to it by Iraq and assure its oil supply for unambiguous support of its war against Baghdad, a report said yesterday.
The Asian Age newspaper said Washington would also award New Delhi a major chunk of reconstruction activities in post-war Iraq in exchange for unconditional backing.
