TOKYO: US Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived in Tokyo yesterday at the start of a four-day trip to East Asia during which he is expected to announce a new instalment of US food aid to North Korea.
The trip, which will also include visits to Beijing and Seoul, will be dominated by efforts to build consensus on how to deal with North Korea's suspected nuclear weapons programme but also aims to shore up support for a possible war against Iraq.
