TEHERAN: Strong winds, fog and rain forced Iranian authorities to call off search operations on Thursday for 302 soldiers killed the day before in the worst plane crash in the country's history.
The search effort, which began early Thursday, located some mutilated bodies and several parts of the military plane, but attempts to retrieve them from the mountainous site were blocked by worsening weather conditions.
