Bugs galore at food festival

GOURMETS will go bug-eyed at the Singapore Food Festival this year.

Fried scorpion, cricket pasta and grasshopper kebab are on the menu and visitors to the festival can even learn how to cook them.

Hundreds of creepy crawlies will be flown in from the United States for the festival which runs from March 28 to April 30 and is one of the biggest occasions on the tourism calendar.

Now in its 10th year, it has developed into a test bed for cooks and tour planners in establishments ranging from museums to hotels and park operators. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
