BANGKOK: A pair of nine-year-old Thai twins were “married” in an elaborate ceremony after a Buddhist monk and astrologer advised the mock wedding was needed to avert bad luck, news reports said yesterday.
The ceremony, in which the children were dressed in formal wedding attire, took place on their ninth birthdays on Tuesday in the Sam Chuk district, 110km north of Bangkok.
