JERUSALEM (AP) - Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's hawkish Likud Party appeared headed for a convincing victory in elections Tuesday, but the urgent challenges of forming a stable government amid the turmoil of the Palestinian uprising will give him little time to savor victory.
In overnight violence, three Palestinians were killed and 11 injured in a huge explosion in a Gaza City house, witnesses and Palestinian security officials said.
