JAKARTA: Indonesia advised its citizens yesterday to defer non-essential travel to the United States, to “avoid unwanted difficulties” from a new requirement that men from Indonesia and other predominantly-Muslim countries register with immigration authorities.
Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda said he discussed Jakarta’s concerns with visiting US Assistant Secretary of State James Kelly at a meeting here.
