AHMEDABAD: At least 15 people were wounded in sporadic clashes between Hindus and Muslims during kite-flying contests in India's riot-scarred Gujarat state, police said yesterday.
Groups of Hindus and Muslims attacked each other with crude bombs and stones in several places on Wednesday including Ahmedabad, the state's main city, and the industrial town of Baroda, they said.
