CALCUTTA: An Indian teenager tried to convince his parents he had been abducted in hopes of getting thousands of dollars in ransom money, police said yesterday.
Binoy Sharma, a 17-year-old dropout from Calcutta, left home late Thursday and told a friend to disguise his voice as a kidnapper demanding a ransom of 100,000 rupees (RM7,919), police said.
