BANGKOK: People convicted of violent crimes tend to have lower intelligence quotients (IQs), hindering their decision-making ability, a survey by the Mental Health Department has found.
As a result, the department plans to develop a reliable method of testing childrens IQs nationwide to identify those at risk of developing into adults with a tendency to violent crime.
