Police chase in PJ leads to duo nabbed, one more still at large

PETALING JAYA: A police chase in the early hours on Friday (May 8) led to the arrest of two suspects, with a third still at large.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said that the chase started along the Federal Highway after the suspects refused to comply with a police inspection.

A chase ensued until the car being chased collided with a signboard at a U-turn near Pavilion Damansara Heights.

Two suspects, a foreign man and a woman in their twenties, were arrested while a third managed to escape.

"Both had no prior police records. They have since been remanded for a day.

"Investigations showed that the car was registered under the name of a local man, but there were no records of it being stolen," he said.
