Police confirm another foreign national death at KLIA Terminal 2


PUTRAJAYA: Police confirm a foreign man died after a fall at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA Terminal 2) on Friday night (May 1), according to a police statement.

KLIA district police chief, Asst Comm M Ravi said the man was a 30-year-old Algerian national. He said the incident happened at about 9.10pm in the outer balcony area of the terminal.

He said medical staff gave emergency treatment at the scene. He said the man was taken to Cyberjaya Hospital.

"However, at about 2.55am this morning, the hospital confirmed that the man had died," he said in a statement Saturday (May 2).

Police said they classified the case as a Sudden Death Report (SDR). Police said the cause remains under investigation.

Members of the public with information are asked to contact the KLIA District Police Headquarters via 03-8776 8222 to assist in the investigation.

Earlier, police confirmed that a Chinese national died after falling from Level 3 of the KLIA Terminal 2 in an incident that went viral on social media. – Bernama
