Anwar-Hajiji ties key to fast-tracking Sabah's 40% revenue claim, say state lawmakers

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah assemblymen have expressed confidence that the issue of the state's 40% special grant from the Federal Government will be resolved more swiftly due to the close relationship between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

Datuk Seri Ghulamhaidar @ Yusof Khan Bahadar (GRS-Kawang) said confidence in this matter has been strengthened by the High Court ruling, which affirmed Sabah's constitutional right to the special grant, as noted by the Sabah Finance Minister during the recent 2026 state budget tabling.
