Smartboard initiative set to boost digital learning in Tamil schools, says Ramanan

KUALA LUMPUR: Lessons in Tamil schools nationwide are set to become more interactive and digitalised with the installation of 400 smartboards across nearly 400 selected schools by the start of the 2026 school year.

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the smartboards will be distributed through the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra), with RM5mil allocated for the initiative. All 400 units are expected to be delivered to 387 selected Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) (SJK(T)) by January 10 next year.
