E-invoice break helps SMEs buy time for digital transition, say businesses

PETALING JAYA: Business and trade associations have welcomed the last e-invoicing requirement, with the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) as well as the Small and Medium Enterprises Association Malaysia (Samenta) saying the recalibration of regulatory and tax measures on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is a step in the right direction.

In a statement yesterday, ACCCIM said the decision to raise the e-invoice exemption threshold to RM1mil next year will reduce compliance and administrative burdens for smaller businesses.
