"I believe everyone has their own stance.
"During elections, there will be all kinds of campaigns and all sorts of things will be said.
"Whatever it is, we are ready to contest," he said at a press conference after officiating the launch of Sekolah Angkat Madani at SK Felda Lok Heng here on Monday (Nov 10).
He had been asked if the resignation of Datuk Ewon Benedick from the Cabinet over matters involving the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) would affect the election.
On Barisan’s decision to have young candidates for the election, Khaled, who is also Defence Minister, said it shows that the coalition is serious about bringing change.

"It is also about giving opportunities to new and young candidates who may be able to bring greater progress to Sabah," he said.
On Saturday (Nov 8), Ewon announced in a Facebook post that he would resign as Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister over the Federal Government’s position on the High Court decision affirming Sabah’s right to 40% of net revenue derived from the state.
Ewon, who is also president of Pakatan Harapan component Upko, said he would submit his resignation letter soon in line with his party’s constitution, which upholds the implementation of MA63 and the defence of Sabah’s constitutional rights.
