ACTOR and TV host Qi Razali may not have had formal training, but he proved that talent and determination can overcome limitations, Berita Harian reported.
“For me, there are three important qualities every actor must have – talent, deep passion and discipline,” said Qi, whose full name is Qushairi Mohammed Razali.
After nearly two decades in the acting industry, the 48-year-old clinched the Best Actor award at the 34th Malaysian Film Festival on Saturday for his performance in the film Babah.
He said although he did not come from a theatre background or graduate from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage, he respected the rules and discipline of the industry.
“When I truly love something, I will devote myself to learning and mastering it wholeheartedly,” he was quoted as saying.

Alif Farhan – who has learning disabilities, had asked but was denied permission from the vehicle owner, said his brother.
“At the time of the incident, the person in charge of the garden went out to buy some food. That must have been the time when Alif Farhan had tried to take contol of the tractor.”
The victim is believed to have fallen before being run over by the machine, sustaining injuries to his face and later confirmed dead.
The brother described Alif Farhan as a light-hearted person who was diligent in taking on wages for village work.
