Anwar: End violence in Sudan


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has called for an immediate cessation of violence and protection of civilians in full accordance with international humanitarian law, amid the worsening humanitarian crisis in El Fasher and across Darfur, Sudan.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic) said he was deeply alarmed by the unfolding tragedy, describing it as a humanitarian catastrophe marked by mass killing, starvation and displacement on a scale that shocked the conscience.
