Bukit Aman to fix issue of uniform allowance

PETALING JAYA: The issue regarding the payment of a uniform tailoring allowance will be resolved soon, says Bukit Aman.

Bukit Aman Logistics and Technology Department director Comm Gilbert Philip Layang said police leadership is aware of the issue that had gained attention on social media recently.

“The police fully understand the concerns of its members regarding this matter. The department is currently working with the Home Ministry and relevant agencies to coordinate allocations and expedite the payment process.

“The police are giving an assurance that the welfare of its members remains a top priority. Coordination efforts are actively being carried out to ensure all claims can be resolved in the near future in accordance with existing financial and procurement procedures,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Comm Gilbert urged all to remain calm and to allow the administrative process to proceed.

“The top management of the police force emphasises that this matter does not affect operational readiness or core responsibilities of the police force, particularly with several major international events taking place throughout 2025.

“We remain committed in ensuring that the welfare of every police officer and member continues to be protected in line with the principles of public service well-being and the Madani spirit.”
