Selangor ready for monsoon

SHAH ALAM: Selangor is currently on its highest level of preparedness to face any disaster or emergency during the monsoon transition season, which is expected to last until February next year.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said disaster preparedness measures had been activated since July, involving more than 20 uniformed agencies, including the armed forces, police, Fire and Rescue Depart­ment, as well as local government authorities under the state disaster unit.
