Retiree loses RM473,000 using fake investment app


KULAI: A 77-year-old retiree lost RM473,000 after falling victim to a fake investment scheme that promised high returns within 24 hours.

Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the victim was attracted to an investment scheme that promised profits of between 30% and 40% via a mobile app.
