Ready for rain and rallies

Challenging time: Sabah’s 17th state election will see nominations on Nov 15, early voting on Nov 25 and polling on Nov 29, right in the heart of the northeast monsoon.

KOTA KINABALU: With both state polls and the monsoon season looming, Sabah police are preparing for what could be a challenging few months of enforcement and disaster relief.

State police chief Comm Datuk Jauteh Dikun said preparations for the state election are in full swing, with contingency plans in place for potential floods and landslides as the monsoon season sets in from November until early next year.
