MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 10pm (Oct 18)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 10pm on Saturday (Oct 18).

In a statement at 6.50pm on Saturday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis; Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling and Kulim); Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar); Kelantan (Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin) and Johor (Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi).

It also warned of bad weather in Sabah affecting areas in the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast (Ranau) and Sandakan.
