KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON95 and RON97 petrol and diesel will remain unchanged from Oct 16 to 22.
The Finance Ministry, in a statement Wednesday (Oct 15) said the retail price of RON97 petrol would remain at RM3.18 per lite nationwide.
It said that the price of unsubsidised RON95 petrol would remain at RM2.60 a litre, while the price for Budi95 subsidised RON95 would be maintained at RM1.99 a litre.
The price of diesel remains at RM2.93 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia and at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan over the same period.
It said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," it added.
