Man dies after tree crushes car near Kuala Pilah


KUALA PILAH: A 39-year-old man was killed after his car was crushed by a falling tree near here.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the incident happened near Kampung Kuala Dioh just before 11pm yesterday (Oct 7).

He said responders found the car crushed with the victim still inside, and added that a

a medical team certified the victim dead at the scene.

The spokesman then added that firefighters extricated the victim’s remains from the wreck and said that the remains were handed over to the police.

Kuala Pilah OCPD Supt Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the victim was heading towards Seremban from Jempol.

He said the weather was fine when the incident happened and added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
