Arrested five, including footballer’s mom-in-law, suspected of faking immigration stamps, cops say


GOMBAK: The mother-in-law of a national football player who was arrested alongside three others is alleged to be a member of a gang that falsified immigration stamps.

In a statement on Sunday (Oct 5), Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir confirmed that five arrests in total were made on Oct 1.

He said that the suspects, including the aforementioned relative of the footballer, were aged between 27 and 47 years old.

He added that she was arrested in Shah Alam.

All had been remanded until Oct 8 for further investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
