Duo charged with killing businessman

KLANG: Two men were charged in the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of a businessman.

Hairul Hisham Ishak, 48, Mohd Kamarulzaman Abd Wahab, 38, and two others who are still at large allegedly killed 33-year-old Rafidzul Afeendi Mustapha.

The deceased’s remains were found two weeks ago in Jalan Kempas Kiri, Kampung Perepat in Kapar.

No plea was recorded as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

The charge was read to both the men before magistrate Siti Zubaidah Mahat yesterday.

Hairul Hisham and Mohd Kamarulzaman were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same Code.

If found guilty, the duo face the death penalty or a maximum jail term of 40 years and 12 strokes of the rotan.

According to the charge sheet, the murder was committed at about 3.50am on Sept 11 at the same location where the victim’s remains were discovered.

Siti Zubaidah fixed Nov 28 for the case to be mentioned for ­submission of relevant documents and post-mortem, Chemistry Department and ­forensic reports.
