Kulai-Senai Smart Lane on NSE to be closed starting Sept 22

JOHOR BARU: The Smart Lane at the North-South Expressway (NSE) from Kulai to Senai will be closed starting from Monday (Sept 22).

A press release by PLUS Malaysia Bhd dated Friday (Sept 19) said the closure is to facilitate the highway expansion project in Johor.

“The affected Smart Lane is from Kulai to Senai at KM26.5 to KM19.3 (Southbound)

“The existing two lanes on the affected stretch will remain open during construction works to maintain traffic flow and to minimise traffic disruptions for highway users,” said the statement.

It added that the closure is part of PLUS’s ongoing efforts to improve the highway infrastructure and to lay the path towards the construction of the Additional Lane Project stretching from Senai to Kulai (Phase 1 Package B).

Highway users are encouraged to plan their journeys using the PLUS app for the latest traffic updates.

For real-time traffic updates and assistance, users may also refer to the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, X@plustraffic, and electronic signboards at selected locations.

In case of emergencies, users can contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000.

PLUS added that it appreciates the patience and cooperation of all highway users during the duration of these works.

The highway concessionaire also reminded users to obey all traffic signage and instructions issued by its personnel when passing through the construction zone.
