Current laws being reviewed to strengthen child protection

KUCHING: The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry is reviewing existing laws to strengthen the protection of children against sexual crimes, particularly on social media and online applications.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, said engagement sessions and discussions are being actively held with various stakeholders, including authorities, NGOs and local communities, especially parents, to reinforce child protection mechanisms.
