Anwar noted that Malaysia stood in solidarity with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the people of Indonesia during this painful moment.

"Malaysia grieves with you, and we will continue to hold the people of Bali in our hearts as they recover from this disaster,” he added.

Heavy rain on the resort island of Bali on Wednesday (Sept 10) triggered flooding in several areas, including Jembrana, Gianyar, Badung, Tabanan, Karangasem, Klungkung and Denpasar.

Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said in a statement that, so far, 14 people have been confirmed dead, two remain missing and 659 others have been affected by the disaster. – Bernama
